Melbourne- Crap City retarded people the diet coke version of Sydney at least it doesnt have a mardi gras. They're casino is **** the only good thing about is that its open before the pub is and serves alcohol. They're police randomly shoot people for no good reason i think its birth control.

Melbourne is quite possibly the best city in Australia. And I don't live there.

Its funnier because he supports the Melbourne Storm yet hates the city so much. I thought Melbourne was a great city, but the cold doesn't suit me.

I know your from Canberra but I've heard from a lot of people that lived/been there and said its a hole. I cant comment because I haven't been there.

But I've been to Adelaide and well.. no comment.

Melbourne, cold?

Are you being serious?

I went to Melbourne in winter and it's a lot colder than Brisbane, I didn't expect it to be that cold. I love the heat and I'm used to it, I think 30 degree days are pleasent and 15 degrees too cold.

Listen you soft Aussie convict sheilas, "cold" is when its -5 degrees Celcius outside and the Aberdonian girls are still going out in tank tops and ultraskirts...

we don't dress properly in britain.

Me and my mates were in Iceland; cold as f*** with this massive wind blowing across with sleet. And for a dare we were walking around Reyjavik in swim shorts, hiking boots, woolly hat and scarf. Nothing else. And we had quite a few Icelanders roll up in their cars and shout obscenities at us (i'm guessing from their tone anyway, I don't speak icelandic)...

Iceland is a great country. Very impressive nature and landscapes...Of course don't expect gourmet fod or this kind of stuff.

I don't know about that... I had this incredible lamb broth; also I had lots of their equivalent of biltong (Harðfiskur) which is dried fish... and they eat a lot of offal. Their diet includes hardly any vegetables as well which can only be a good thing. Yeah it's not got the fantastic food culture of France/ Italy but there's a lot on offer, like with most cultures.

Also, how is Melbourne cold? I just read on BBC sport about all the tennis players moaning about the heat!

Melbourne COLD!!!! Your ******** me right... you all don't know cold... yesterday at my parents place it was -43and they have a tonne of snow aswell... you all don't know cold... When I lived in Labrador it would regularly drop below -50°c the coldest I ever felt was around -80°c... Cars don't work... you freeze in about 30 sec its harsh ****... Which is why rugby is never going to get big in Canada... because in a lot of places its just too damn cold...

Ontop of that certain parts of the country get mountains of snow.... at my parents place last year we had over 500cm of snowfall it was insane the snow was over the first floor of my house

Not to mention look at the goddamn place its a harsh environment... this is about 40min from my old place

Not really, if he freezes to death out there...

haha I won't freeze to death... you adapt to what you know...

its funny though when I lived in Goose Bay the European armies used to have a bunch of squadrons there for training... brits, germans, italians etc and they all wanted to go in the outdoors and lyou know hike and stuff but they had absolutely no clue about how **** it was... even in the summer you can still friggin freeze to death... the ground is all sand right... and during the day it get warm it will be 20 to 30°c yah know the heat gets trapped in the sand etc... at night though heat will leave the sand and it gets downright frigid ... people will freeze sleeping on the ground in the summer just laying there in there shorts...

most retarded place ever

We might be soft prestwick but at least we dont live in a cold rainy shithole.

Also the sun shines here so there. :) Oh and ill have you know that unlike our eastern states friends i dont live in a convict colony they might mock us but at least South Australia wasnt founded as a glorified prison.

Well, the entire Africa is the giant shithole of the world. It's the holy grail of all things poo.

poo x **** x feces x crap = Africa

Doesn't hide the fact South Australia is a shithole. I'll stick to my convict colony.
That statement doesnt hide the fact your a ****** who probably hasnt being anywhere in SA except Adelaide. :bana:

South Australia: Its heaps good B)

Oh come on. There's been some good friendly banter in this thread, don't spoil it by going over the top.

Ha ha. True. Well, the Western Cape here in SA, with the garden route between George and Cape Town has to be one of the most beautiful stretches i have ever seen. So green, with amazing mountains! The golf courses are also exceptional!

Also, when watching Australia (with Kidman and Jackman), i noticed some of the most beautiful scenery ever caught on film i think. Truly stunning to look at. I guess that although there are some real fugly places, there are equally beautiful ones too!

f*** you.

I got off the train at Basingstoke once. The town centre is a sort of "Mines of Moria" shopping mall. I'm still lost, communicating with TRF through patchy wireless hotspots.
