I've been expecting you, Mr. Edwards.

Well, I agree with him, this TMO thing is ruining the game. Everything is checked by TMO now, no decisionmaking from the referee.

Heh! Neither are my teams so I'm not really bothered.

I just dont think it's fair to call that a Boeing game or sarries and saints rubbish.

They both played wife at times... It was just a cracking final.

I agree with you, I really enjoyed the game personally, but might wasn't the most creative game out there - therefore might not be everyone's cup of tea. So if someone didn't enjoy it, why then attack the team he supports? Seemed unnecessary is all.

I was trying to figure out what a 'boeing game' was. Thought it was some kind of slang to describe a certain type of game.

Just realised it looks like predictive text striking again. Still not sure what 'They both played wife' could be though <_<

I thought it was a great game for everyone, other than a certain Shark supporter, as it had everything including some brilliant rugby, at times, whether the Saints handling, the defensive hits, the intensity, the breakdowns or the tactics. The scoring was such that it was always level pegging there or there abouts which maintained the excitement level.

I am a big Cips supporter but Myler is the 10 of the season with his kicking, his breaks and more especially going for a try at the end even though he KNEW a drop goal was enough..............

Well done Saints, really happy that they have won for the guys, the Barwells, the supporters who are true rugby followers who have been there for the club for years and years in their droves and not just recently attracted by a sudden influx of money and success, and for my mate Piggy and all at the Crooked Hooker who have had to down so many pints waiting for this moment....wish I was there!!!!!

Personally I thought he was being stupid going for the try. Sure it paid off but many times it won't. There was a lot of risk for little extra gain. If you need 3 points to win and you are in a position to take 3 points without the opposition having time to score anything, you take the 3! Imagine if that last try call had actually been no try. What then? Saints have thrown the game because Myler wouldn't take a simple drop goal.

Wife = Wide (oooh Er!!!)

I'm not sure it's really an attack... more a light ribbing. It was just a joke... people are a bit too sensitive.

Genuinely surprised people enjoyed the game, to be honest.

Watched it down my rugby club and not one person though it was any cop.

Having watched the match through to the end and then had to leave for the extra time, then watched the extra time and read the comments, including yours, why does this not surprise me!!

Saw the game from the 30minute mark as all I can say is Jp Doyle is a joke never liked him as a referee was so poor with many decisions gave Burrell a penalty for a deliberate knock on but no card, that try in my opinion wasn't a try he fell short then rolled the ball and the guy seemed to go through corbisiero first so obstruction and Northamptons line outs were never straight most of the time but weren't given but having said that I thought myler had a good game as did north and Courtney lawes what a tackle on Hodgson hopefully he does the same down under!!

Except I live in the Midlands and most of my club are saints fans (with a smattering of Tigers and Warriors....and me) :P

Ah! now I have an image of you sat in the corner of your club bar, in full sale kit, at a table on your own , nursing a half drunk pint while the other end of the bar a raucous party ensues.

:)

.... that try in my opinion wasn't a try he fell short then rolled the ball!

To be fair, he did not give that try it was the TMO and, I believe, his words seem to indicate he would not give it but was overruled by the TMO...he is widely held in good repute and was lauded for his semi final display between Saints and Leicester and for comparison you should have seen Bardos ref the Top 14 Final......off you feet, play on, crooked feed, no problem, line outs whatever you want!!

Rolling counts as momentum in the same way that diving, landing short of the line and sliding over it does.

Ashton scored a try in Sarries' season opener in the same fashion.

Yea that is true as far as the last try goes I'll let him off that one! But as Ben Kay himself even said was terrible inconsistency! And I think the point Healy raised about people diving over blocking the ball coming out (which there aloud to do under the rules) needs to be changed! But as for him being held in high regard I'm sorry totally disagree but what's done is done hey ho! Now for England against the all blacks!!!

sorry if this has already been raised but from what I saw after Doyle awarded the sarries try it was the tmo who contacted him to say he wasn't happy and that Doyle should review. I didn't know that was in the tmo 's remit surely once the try is given that's it? Yes it was the right call but I would be livid if I was a Sarries fan . The tmo in my opinion interfered without the ref requesting . surely that is not on and will only spoil the game , why bother with a ref and let the tmo send down his decisions if this is the case . apologies if I got this wrong.
