England 2021/22

Or if Underhill's 'try' hadn't been harshly chalked off

Farrell injured in Saracens training and seeing specialist next week rather than joining up with England

As per Saracens press release
Never wish injury on anyone - but that only strengthens England.
On top of that - what NMBS said

Who comes in instead then?

Will it be Ford or a 12?

Honestly someone like Loz may work to cover that 12/10 option.

Given it's Eddie though it'll be some random back rower and we'll go to a 6/2 bench with Malins and Slade covering 10.

Expecting Youngs, Smith, May, Slade, Marchant, Malins, Steward

With Quirke and Atkinson/Nowell benching tbh

If Farrell hadn't hit the post with a conversion in 2018. Jones would be 2 from 2 against them as England coach.

It's days like today that make me question my agnostics and become a full on evangelical.

9 Youngs
10 Smith
11 May
12 Atkinson
13 Slade
14 Malins
15 Steward

Jones will break out in a cold sweat if he can't have either Tuilagi or Faz in the squad. So Manu it is on the proviso that he plays on the 30th for Sale, which of course he won't leaving everything up in the air…..

I'm not expecting that, but it's Eddie's world so I'm not discounting it either. Realistically, I'd hope Atkinson will start but Slade could get moved inside. I doubt Bailey would be involved and while Slade could cover 10 from the existing squad it would seem that Ford would be the logical addition.

But I wouldn't mind seeing Lozowski.

The problem moving Slade in, is he the defensive leader at 13...which is a difficult position to defend, (Jonathan Joseph was great there also)
He is also the 2nd playmaker out at 13.

So i think Eddie will prefer to find a 12 rather than moving Slade in. Hence i can only see Atkinson coming in.

Smith
Atkinson
Slade

And bring young Dan Kelly in to the squad

Smith's used to a big power runner at 12 trucking it up for Quins. Does the squad happen to contain any 6'1 18 stone ball carriers that played centre through their junior career?

Come on Eddie, time to prove the courage of your convictions for numbers on shirts don't matter / hybrid.

Maybe. I wouldn't be against brining Kelly in, but Slade and Marchant looked like a very nice combination vs. SA and worth adding that Marchant is an excellent defender at 13.

Ive said before Smith is an 80 min player, he does it constantly for Quins so your team is what id go with, he will likely go Furbank at 23 but Malins was a 10 and can cover.

We dont exactly need a 10 we need 10 cover if he gets injured. More risky but does allow us more freedom on the bench.

Im im not sure who will get the nod tbh
