Near impossible task for Montpellier as this will be match 59 and Clermont still unbeaten at home
MHR will be without Tomas , Geli (red carded last week) but shold still be fielding a very strong side but need the performance of the season to get them into the semi's but who knows stranger things have happened at sea!!!!! (unfortunetly Clermont is a long way from the sea)!!!!!

1 hour later: they are falling like 9 pins at Clermont this morning 1st Chouly now James, Stanley, and King, hopefully they will put Skrela at 10 and MHR chances have gone up by 5% they now have 15% chance of winning!!! getting better by the hour.!!!

They being the only French sides left in the competition if Montpellier loses you mean.........Yup, it would be cracking to have an ASM win over Toulon in Dublin by 49 points to 48 as the right team would be the winners and 7th place in the Top 14 would qualify for next year's H Cup!!

I think this game could be a cracker. A lot of muscle in the forward packs and class in the backs.
The clash of the second-rows will be something to keep an eye on, some beaux bébés​ on both sides.

It would be nice for Montpellier to win but in terms of realistically wanting a French team to win the H-cup I'd rather Clermont win as the have the ability to win the whole thing.

He certainly is but do not think that Montpellier can keep this up for 80 minutes and now Trinh Duc looks like a passenger.

I think ASM will come back as they have done nothing so far!

Great work from the whole Montpellier squad but totally undone by, partly, the loss of Trinh Duc but, mainly, they did not have the explosive finishing power that ASM showed and which took them clear...............no disgrace and they will be back bigger and better as they have some of their injured back but, more importantly, Galthie hones and refines his squad!

yes, sorry, haven't been exactly following lately !! Right, there's just Toulon n ASM. About to watch the ASM Mpellier match now, they say ASM was spectacular.
I do think ASM is a more 'legit' team. Toulon is just too loaded right now...they're just the monster juggernaut with the big bank account, but at least they play solid, strong rugby. At least they work together I mean...
Now Clermont too are pretty loaded, but it's more 'fair' what they have I'd say. And they can play such beautiful rugby, my goodness, what a blessing it is some days to watch them, very glad French rugby can be this candy-like for the eyes...of course, like, every top14 team has a Fidjian/or Pac. Islander at the wing !...

Not sure that you can criticise Toulon (Euro 22 million budget) for the money and then laud ASM (Euro 25 million) as being a "more legit team".....mind you they both pale into insignificance when you look at Toulouse at 33 million!!!
