RWC 2011: THE FINAL!!! France vs. New Zealand

As much as I wanted NZ to win, it doesn't feel right now that I see them lift the trophy after they didn't deserve to win that match. <img src="http://www.therugbyforum.com/forumOLD/style_emoticons/default/sad.gif" border="0" alt="" ***le=":(" smilieid="11" class="inlineimg">

Congrats to the AB's.
I'm proud of our french team today.

As much as I wanted NZ to win, it doesn't feel right now that I see them lift the trophy after they didn't deserve to win that much. :(

Truth be told, and I am not trying to criticize, but that's pretty similar to what the rest of the world felt when the Boks won in 2007.

That's a bit far fetched considering we only ever looked like scoring with Cruden on the field.

Our forwards were going backwards when Donald came on. He was a calm influence that won us the match. His defence was easily the best out of the NZers. It was a defensive effort that got us home, and Donald was the one making all the big defensive plays.

Dear friends in New Zealand
I think you should apologize to the team of France. Where is the lesson of rugby you had to give him? This match has to demonstrate that your team also needs the referee from time to time to win. But next time, we'll see what we see.
A French happy the match of his team

You're got to feel for Hosea Gear. He's the only member of tghat winning squad who hasn't played a minute of World Cup rugby.

How in the world wasnt that an epic nailbitter????? My heart was going at 150 beats/sec, I almost died of a heart attack....
Your in sydney I'll come over and give you a shot of Hennessy and you'll be right.

It was the media hyping things up mate. The New Zealand public always had respect for France.

It was a nailbiter, but an epic match needs the lead to change hands a few times.

Apart from McCaw slowing down ruckball what must really **** the French off is that the strongest part of their game - the lineout - was the weak link for the ABs try.

The one that got away. France should be champs. I suppose Wales can claim the same thing, they would have unlocked the ABs on that performance.

Le rugby a encore perdu une part de son ame.
You're prefer in french?
I can speak french as I am french, thank you very much. I understood what you said but I just didnt agree at all with what you said. It was a great game and even in defeat I think for the france team it was actually the opposite. France got back their soul.

For New Zealands try, does no one else think that France's first jumper was pulled down before/ just as the ball was thrown in?

Shouldn't have left such a gap, but I'd like to see it again.

All we did was defend once Donald came on James. I don't think we even got inside their 22 once Cruden went off.

The standout All Blacks for me were McCaw and Nonu. Both were monstrous of defence. You're showing your bias by saying that Donald was the best player so I'm not even bother arguing with you.

Thanks for replying :)
The french try was also lucky ;) I reckon out of the 4 finals I watched this was the best. Sorry for all you brits with 03 memories :p

Have you noticed how even McCaw and Henry singled out Donald and praised him?
You are the bias one
