The Melbourne Rebels

I found this photo on their official site:

Looks like this is the new kit.
Who knows, though, to be honest.

Good ol' Brumby & co. turning up at a photo opportunity in a safety jacket and/or hard hat.

That is the victorian schoolboys kit. There has been rumors that it will be very similar to the rebels but they could all be shite.

Just updated the squad list. There is the makings of quite a good side here. Not much depth in the playmaking stocks, especially considering that Rod Maqueen said that he would like so see Danny Cipriani play fullback. Maybe they can turn one of their 40 locks into a flyhalf...

From the squad then what does everyone think the starting XV would look like?

1 Laurie Weeks
2 Adam Freier
3 Greg Somerville
4 Al Campbell
5 Adam Byrnes
6 Jarrod Saffy
7 Michael Lipman
8 Gareth Delve

9 Richard Kingi

10 James Hilgendorf
11 Cooper Vuna
12 Lachlan Mitchell
13 Stirling Mortlock
14 Mark Gerrard
15 Danny Cipriani

16 ...Heath Tessman
17 Rodney Blake
18 Hoani McDonald/Kevin O'Neill
19 Tom Chamberlain
20 Sam Cordingley
21 Julian Huxley
22 Luke Rooney

Why have they only got one hooker? Other than that the backrow was a big guess and I could've filled the bench with locks....

All of Huxley, Cipriani, Gerrard and Hilgendorf can play first five and fullback. It wouldn't surprise me to see Huxley as the regular starter, with a younger guy on the bench.

Cipriani is an excellent player - saw him play during his time at Wasps

The jersey has been revealed. Shocking though it is.

Apparently memberships go on sale tomorrow. No details of packages yet. Only 8 home games so I'm hoping they're going to be reasonable priced.
