A Political Thread pt. 2

It's official. In the six states where the votes were recounted nothing has changed, Trump is the loser. But he still won't concede. Whack job!
He never will concede. He'll go to his grave saying it was stolen. The question is what do his supporters do? Will they concede and support a Biden presidency or will they continue to obstruct it and just cause more problems?

Hancock has tried to claim that the swift approval was because of Brexit.

I can't the find the exact quote, but the head of the MHRA has come out and said the swift decision was only possible because we were still in transition and sharing information with the E.U and using E.U rules.

Hancock also told LBC that he technically counts as a health worker and so could be one of the first people to have the vaccine.

What a disgusting human being.

Yeah absolutely false statements by Hancock and appeals to the individuals who voted to leave the EU.

Interesting that it was said on the same day that it was confirmed, or at least estimated, that each year 30 million customs declarations would need to be submitted for trade going from Great Britain to Northern Ireland

Yeah and apparently someone important during the select committee went, "Bloody hell that's a lot."

Seems like it's a coordinated thing by the Conservatives.

Perhaps also because the negotiations are going to the wire.

And it's such an obvious lie.
Until January 1st, we're still operating under EU laws.

If they'd wanted to be part-way honest about it, they'd have said "we simply had to approve it first, because it's going to be a realmpain in the arse trying to import it after January 1st"

Seems UK passing the vaccine is riling up a lot of people.
A lot of countries not just the US but EU as well asking their government why the UK can get the vaccine now.

Leaving countries in a awkward position of
1. Defending their regulations
2. Trying not to undermine the Vaccine.

Will say it was a massively stupid thing for Fauci to say in the first place especially given the anti vax numbers in America.

Had another email from the department of Transport today laying out plans for any disruption at the ports. Quite comprehensive to be fair. They have been keeping everyone updated with what to do etc. Most people now have permits to be used in the case of no deal so most of the ports should be ok even with the current and ongoing problems at Felixstowe
