Comment On & Rate The Above Song

Hmmm. Are songs supposed to sprawl for five minutes? I got the angsty thing, but way too many lyrics. 5/10.

Here's a Beatles three-minute pop treatment of an overblown rock classic:

p.s. Whisky in the Jar - 10/10: "me I like sleeping, specially in my Molly's chamber", that's proper innuendo.
[/b]
Uuurrrrgghh! Even if it is the Beatles, you CANNOT cover that song in any way!! 2/10.
See above for Whisky in the Jar, awesome song; quite like the Metallica cover as well.
Another Brand New - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Qd6wrss3iP8
Yeeeeaaah!!

Arf arf! The Beatles treatment shows how daft the lyrics are. Lennon and McCartney completely whip that kind of writing.

Whisky has great lyrics AND it doesn't go on and on and on, so it's a much better song. And I like Metallica having a thrash at it as well.

I'm angsted out, so can't comment on the latest Brand New ... :cryy:

7/10. not bad at all.

Sa Dingding - Alive (Sanskrit Version)

Never heard that song before. It's a bit California.

But the waves - amazing! Design in motion. And the water looks like it's been mixed with the blood of the ABs after last week's defeat.

Think I posted this one before, but here's an interesting comparison - Johnny Cash does Hurt:

And here's the original:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=g0bZtf5MCzY...feature=related

Both great performances, but Cash makes it a bigger song by changing crown of **** to crown of thorns.

Ok so which one did you post earlier ?

I'd give the NIN version a 5 maybe 6/10 but the Johnny cash version as I was listening went from a 7 to an 8 and I allmost a 9
8.5/10

Wow, that was all over the place. Is it a single band? Looked like seven different singers. Vid had a lot of different styles. No idea what they're singing about, so 6/10.

[/b]

Maximum the Hormone is a single band yes, that music video featured so many people because it's sort of a reanactment of Death Note ( not sure if you're an Anime fan, but it's probably the best piece of Japanamation I've watched in the last few years).

here's another song.

What's up People

A bit more heavy and not as over the place as the first one.

im not trying to be a bible basher but man the transition between
Bittersweet Symphony & Amazing Grace, not bad at all

cheers

That was... odd.

But I quite liked it, 7/10

Come on people, surely there's enough music out there to keep this thread from constantly flatlining.

Some more a King

The Dance - a King

Not my kind of music at all, so I think it's better I don't rate it...

Anyway, for the people into guitar stuff (and others), enjoy.

I really don't think that's the point of this thread at all, I'm pretty sure we all realise that everyone has very different taste in music, this is more just to see what the next guy to post thinks about the song -you've- just posted.

So by all means, if you really don't like something give it a 1/10 or something, no one would care :)

As for the song, I can apreciate how that man plays the guitar, but I didn't like the song (or should that be instrumental ?) to be honest.

5/10

Prime Circle - Same goes for you

Solid. Vocal style like a mid '90s hard rock band - Chili Peppers? Something like that. But there's nothing surprising about it. So 6/10.

Moloko - Familiar Feeling.

Sweet lyrics and fine rhythm, plus veeeery cool Northern Soul dancing. And it's a clever vid (3:55). The boyfriend is played by film actor Paddy Considine. And Roisin Murphy does her usual fall-over while dancing - God save her and protect her!

The Beatles are the single most over rated band in history, along with the Rolling Stones. Sgt. Pepper's and Abbey Road are the only albums of their's I can tolerate.

George Harrison is the only member I respect in terms of musical quality, so you caught the wrong prson to rate this song.

3/10, sorry shtove, just not my cup of tea.

I'll counter you with The Zombies, Time of the Season;

beatles could be considered over-rated, but they have so many good songs which arnt recognised by people talking about the beales, ala - the entire white album. i really enjoy harrison and mccartney though.

anyway -
7/10 for the zombies song. much enjoyed.

Never heard that before. No idea what they're singing about, but would be good to hear it live (if you could avoid all the beardies). Apart from that, how many drugs were they doing? And "mind blowing" socio-economic comment with the £ balloon. Yeah, man.

7/10.

I think this is from the same year - classic with racist overtones. Video is unbelievably ****.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZVArC_klWEI

never seen the video before, and always thought it to be about the music rather than err... black people..

but do enjoy the song 8/10

heres one of my favorite songs at the moment
