I'm looking forward to this game. And as it's on at tea time I'll get a chance to go and watch Wath 3rds tomorrow as well, bonus!
I'm hoping for a Tigers victory, natch, but give me a good game of rugby, a couple of beers, and a bite to eat and I'm happy!

Yes, and according to Tigers website:

Toby Flood, Sam Vesty, Dan Hipkiss, Alesana Tuilagi, Lewis Moody, Dan Cole and Boris Stankovich are unavailable due to injury.

Cheers for that it a pity though because if Moody could stay fit he had potential to be one of best backrowers in game.
Also great to see Leicester starting well with all the injuries. But how do ye see Vesty going this year after been so impressive last season.
And great to see Jeremy going well for ye but will he hold down a spot or will ye dump him when rest are back

early penalty for Staunton in front of the posts as Newcastle are done for going offside.

New stand looks good as well.

Newcastle level the scores after Leicester are done for tackling the man without the ball.

Plenty of handling errors so far.

Leicester looking pretty clueless in attack, it's no wonder they're not scoring any tries. Still though they'll take the win.

15-6 FT.

On this basis Bath may well come away with a win next weekend, something I hadn't invisaged at 7.30 friday evening

Saw the first half, surprised to see Jeremy Staunton playing reasonably well and with a bit of confidence, hope he can keep it up. Thought Greenwood and Barnes were being very harsh on him and Allen. They are playing outside f***ing Ellis like.

Ha that the joys of Sky yet if Jeremy was english ...... A player of this calibre is surely into Martin Johnsons plans. The Sky boys can be so bias but tought leicester played well but surely it a worry about lack of trys.

Any update on their injuries as they will neede 1 or 2 back or a bad H'Cup start could be on cards.

Do Leicester not score tries any more?
I find it funny that Staunton has scored all their points so far too

Not seen the game, but I've sussed it!

Leicester + Dupey (Ellis not playing) = Bloody good team
Leicester - Dupey (Ellis playing) = ****

It's so obvious!

Leicester ain't the old force they used to be !!!

Ellis is very poor which made things a nightmare for Staunton & Co outside him.

Also think we've seen alot stronger Tigers packs in the past so may be an edgy season ahead.

I think Injuries throughout the squad may be a massive element, but Ellis (and Staunton for that matter) certainly aren't helping matters.

That agreed but it seems ye stuck with Ellis but in fairness to Jeremy he is shown he a capable kicker for ye but it obvious Flood is missed and if Vesty returns with form of last year that would be major boost but think the Tigers need to strengthen around back 5 of pack offering different options as with props like Castro, White and co still have ability to be typical Leicester and bully teams physically up front and benefit from the maul been back
