Munster v Dragons

Nice break from De Villiers, certainly seems to be fitting in quite well. Poor effort previously from O'Gara though.

Dragon's holding their own so far. Overall Munster have been applying slightly more pressure, but apart from that one half break from DeVillers, they've been going sideways and backwards. Dragon's messed up a certain try with a poorly timed pass from Ashley Smith.

Dragon's on the attack, close to a try there, scrum 5.

..and now it's 3-3.

Does Felix Jones have a touch of the Geordan Murphy's about him? Good runner and good fielder of the ball, just don't ask him to attempt a tackle!

jesus took an awful long time to make that call, not sure it should have even been referred, looked well wide from the first shot.

That was close from Allridge. Looked like it could have gne over, but impossible for the video ref to decide. 3-3 h/t.

Edit: An Tarbh, the first shot did look wide, but the second looked like it could have been good. Was still probably wide though.

Dragon's need to make a change at tighthead imo. He's costing them a good platform scrum time, and although Bearman has been doing well with the ball he's been presented with, he'd have a much easier job if the scrum wasn't going backwards.

it was well wide but it came in after it had done so hence the confusion.[/b]
Probably.

Edit: lol at Gwyn Jones' analysis at half time. Again picking up on O'Gara's hate for tackling, but this time because the Dragon's haven't been running at him enough. He then shows a clip of O'Gara hiding behind the first line of defence, the Dragon's can make use of that, as they should technically have a man over. Need to make use of it though.

Dragon's have been guilty of missing their opportunities, and Munster showed last week what that normally means.

Poor decision from the ref there, that was the Munster player not mooving!

Try to Munster, from the scrum. Why wasn't Hall replaced at half time?

Munster have quick ball around the Dragons 22 and O'Gambler..........kicks it away. He gets lucky when the Dragons needlessly knock on. That's why he shouldn't be near the Ireland team.

Try Munster. Fatty Williams.

Referee's starting to get all the calls wrong now. Munster are starting to get away with murder at the breakdown. O'Gara also being a wan**r, basically strangling O'Connor in an offside position! Yet penalty to Munster!

Second try to Munster. Both after two poor decisions from the ref. Ffs.

Edit: well taken from Munster mind.

Munster are dominating now. Dragon's finding it hard to make any headway, and the likes of Howlett are making inroads.

22-3. Munster cut loose while O'Gara is resting in the sin bin. Coincidence?

Yeah, Munster cut loose in the second. Dragon's tired after all the defending they did in the first, and gaps starting appearing in their once solid defence. Although I complained about the ref, Munster were the better team and thoroughly deserved the win. The Dragon's are missing ball carriers imo. Bearman is the only one making ground. Thay're missing a Jamie Roberts, Tom Shnklin or Jonathan Davies type of player who can get them across the advantage line and generate quick ball to throw wide to their dangerous wings.

Score didn't reflect the game at all. Munster where the better side, (Unlike last week) but the Dragosn where fnatastic in the first half and deserved at least one try to their name.

Loved seeing O'Gara get carded through. Do it again, Ronan!

Just back from Musgrave Park like been back in the 80's :)

But lads did it seem that ROG wasn't on money tonight and his overall game was poor. Tomas O'Leary slotted beautiful kick then :bravo: Great to have him back at 9

Thought JDV looked exciting and I for 1 am excited to the partnership of him and Mafi in centre :p

Also ye can call Nick Williams fatty all ye want because if he stays on form he can be a major player for us. Said it previously if we get the Nick Williams that played back in New Zealand before joining us it will be like getting new player. He was excellent tonight and nowhere near the lazy performances of last season. Probably was told to buck up or F-Off home.

Also Hurley impressed me on wing and if loses his place it not based on his performances this season as he has been 1 of our best players this season so far.

And Fogarty was very good tonight also with 1 smashing run down the line. Think he blossoming into a smashing player and can be up there challenging Sean Cronin for #2 jersey in Irish set-up in future

What about the lineout throwing. Was a bit all over the place in the first half.

You're right, he was way off the mark with his lineouts. The rest of his game was good though.

Longer term, while Fogarty may pick up a few caps, he won't challenge for the Ireland 2 shirt on a sustained basis. Fogarty is only one year younger than Rory Best and he's not as talented as Cronin (who by the way also suffers in the lineout).

Yeah it is but Cronin is not much better in that department and from watching fogarty week-in week-out tonight was very bad compared to usual.

But think majority of our hookers aren't great in this department like Best and Flannery are miles ahead of rest and this is 1 of reasons why
