[RWC2019][Quarter-Final 4] Japan vs. South Africa (20/10/2019)

Yes yes yes. That's what Bok Rugby is. Pure power. Marx has been phenomenal since coming on.

Japan just guilty of playing too much rugby in their own half and not exiting when they should be, fantastic ball handling and offloads but played in the wrong areas.

Exiting to lineout to give the Boks a maul, or kicking infield to give the Bok pack another energy sapping 10+ phases to grind Japan down and run out the clock? These tactics helped Japan beat Ireland and Scotland. As stated above, there is no plan B.

SA have turned the power on in this game. Prob should be further ahead as well after leaving a couple of try's out there.

Japan just haven't been able to deal with SA's power and smother defense. Unable to get any territory this second half.

Rolling mauls, cynical play and set pieces are how you win rugby these days

Don't forget kicking possession away at every opportunity. It's much worse to be in possession.

We left 3 tries out there at least. Barnes was rubbish. Almost as bad as Willie le Roux. If we don't learn to finish we will have no chance against Wales. If we even win this that is.

About as predicted really - especially when you think how many tries SA left out there in the first half

I hope Japan can at least get a consolation try
